Lu Wang,

J.D.  M.B.A  B.Sc.
Lawyer

Lu is a dedicated lawyer at Bridgeway Law, bringing a unique perspective as an immigrant with roots in mainland China and a long-term resident of Alberta. Having personally experienced the challenges of adapting to a new environment, Lu is deeply committed to helping both newcomers and long-term residents navigate complex legal issues with practical, tailored solutions.

Lu’s Canadian educational journey began with undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Finance at the University of Alberta. More recently, he earned both a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Saskatchewan. During law school, Lu worked part-time as a legal researcher for the university and actively competed in the Jessup International Law competition. His M.B.A. designation equips him to better assist business clients by approaching their needs with a strategic, business-oriented perspective.

Before founding Bridgeway Law, Lu practiced at a local firm in Edmonton, gaining hands-on experience across various legal areas, including real estate, corporate law, labor and employment, wills and estates, and family law. Between his undergraduate and law school studies, Lu also worked with professionals across various industries, including lumber wholesalers, warehousing and shipping coordinators, real estate professionals, condominium managers, auditors, engineers, and maintenance contractors.

Lu is also passionate about community involvement. He has volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, and served on the Student Advisory Committee at the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. Additionally, Lu has mentored first-year law students in dispute resolution.

Outside of work, Lu enjoys spending time with his young children and staying active at the gym.
